Section 1

Professional conduct

I will

  • Act lawfully, ethically, and with integrity.
  • Respect all users’ rights, time, and safety; practice non-discrimination and zero harassment.
  • Provide accurate profile information (identity, skills, credentials).
  • Accept only work I’m qualified to deliver and meet agreed timelines.
  • Keep communication clear, courteous, and solution-oriented.

I won’t

  • Misrepresent my identity, portfolio, certifications, or results.
  • Share or use confidential information without permission.
  • Engage in abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior.
Section 2

Platform use & payments

I will

  • Communicate and transact on-platform using chat, files, milestones, and invoices.
  • Use approved payment options available in my region (card, bank transfer, wallet, PayPal, etc.).
  • Follow scopes, milestones, and revision rules set in the order.

I won’t

  • Solicit or accept off-platform payments or move projects off the platform.
  • Request early release of funds before agreed deliverables are approved.
  • Circumvent platform fees or policies.
Section 3

Content, IP & safety

I will

  • Deliver original work and respect copyright, trademarks, and licenses.
  • Use rights-cleared assets; follow brand/style specs (e.g., MLA/APA/Chicago/CPS where relevant).
  • Comply with laws (including GDPR) and NDA terms where applicable.

I won’t

  • Upload illegal, obscene, defamatory, or harmful content.
  • Distribute malware, exploits, or code that damages systems.
  • Post false, incomplete, or misleading claims about people, products, or services.
Section 4

Fair competition & marketplace integrity

I will

  • Bid/propose honestly with realistic pricing, timelines, and methods.
  • Participate only in lawful projects aligned with my capabilities.
  • Accept constructive feedback and iterate within the agreed revision policy.

I won’t

  • Underbid to evade fees or manipulate pricing structures.
  • Create multiple accounts, fabricate jobs, or falsify reviews/ratings.
  • Engage in any scheme to transfer funds illicitly.
Section 5

Confidentiality & data handling

  • Protect client materials, personal data, and project details.
  • Share information on a need-to-know basis via secure on-platform channels.
  • Promptly report suspected data incidents to Cognowork Support.

Note: Employers have parallel obligations. Use NDAs and keep sensitive assets in approved repositories where required by your organization.

Section 6

Disputes, revisions & resolutions

  • Use on-platform tools for clarifications, extensions, and revision requests.
  • Cooperate in good faith with editors, admins, and clients to resolve issues.
  • Follow the dispute process if disagreements arise.
